PUBLICATION ETHICS AND PUBLICATION MALPRACTICE

IJET is a peer-reviewed scientific journal that observes the code of publication ethics and ‘Best Practice Guidelines for Journal Editors’ proposed by COPE (Committee on Publication Ethics). Accordingly, all possible steps are taken to guard against any fraud that may occur during the publication of a paper in IJET. The parties involved - authors, Editors, Editorial Advisory Board members, Editorial Office Secretary, Online Journal Management Board members and journal referees – are expected to understand and share a commitment to the following ethical standards.

The Institute for Educational Technology of the Italian National Research Council and the editors of Italian Journal of Educational Technology are committed to protecting your personal information and respecting data protection laws around the world. This privacy policy explains how we do this, and it applies to your use of the IJET website.

What information we collect and how we use it
In general, IJET readers can visit our Site without telling us who they are or revealing any Personally Identifiable Information.

IJET authors, reviewers and guest editors, instead, will need to subscribe to the IJET website to submit papers, reviews and handle the journal issues. Readers can also register if they wish to receive news about journal calls for papers and announcements concerning the journal publication. Any information we collect on our Site generally falls into the Personally Identifiable Information category, i.e. information that lets us know specifically who you are and how to communicate with you. We use personal information exclusively in order to carry out the journal activity and provide the users with the needed information services, as well as ensure the security of our websites, and to run our business.

Giving and withdrawing your consent, and updating your personal information
Where your consent is required for us to process your personal information, we will ask for your consent at the point at which you provide your data.  You have the right to withdraw that consent at any time. If you wish to do it, contact us at IJET@itd.cnr.it.
You can also update your personal information at any time by entering the platform and changing your profile.
We do not sell your personal information to third parties.

Storing your personal information
ITD-CNR will manage your personal data in accordance with the purposes set out in GDPR 2016/679. Specifically, these concern the management of the IJET journal, its issues, the peer review process, and the editing of each issue.

The Data Controller is the National Research Council - Consiglio Nazionale delle Ricerche (CNR), with registered offices at Piazzale Aldo Moro 7, 00185 Rome (IT).

For the management of the IJET data, CINECA was appointed as data manager.
We will only keep records of your personal information for as long as is reasonably necessary for the purposes for which we have collected it, and in order to comply with any statutory or regulatory obligations in relation to retention of records.
