Abstract

The aim of this research study is to present SNs as mature environments for managing information flows and learning processes. To this end, the second step of a research study into the possible use of social networking in education is reported; this sought to define positive as well as negative aspects, habits, conscious and unconscious representations and assumptions. The study began with a pilot analysis conducted in 2009 and involved 926 subjects through 2010 and early 2011.
