SU CARTA O SULLO SCHERMO? STUDIO SULLE PERCEZIONI DELLE VERIFICHE DIGITALI IN AMBITO UNIVERSITARIO

Abstract
Questo articolo esplora le potenzialità e i limiti delle verifiche elettroniche rispetto alla tradizionale modalità cartacea per valutare se, e fino a che punto, la modalità elettronica possa diventare un’effettiva alternativa al cartaceo, permettendo di gestire il processo valutativo in modo più efficiente, specie nel contesto delle classi numerose in ambito universitario. La ricerca si basa su una esperienza realizzata presso l’Università di Firenze nel 2016-17. Hanno partecipato 606 studenti, dei quali 443 hanno svolto la verifica online con i propri dispositivi (BYOD), mentre 163 hanno preferito la modalità cartacea. Trecentosettantadue partecipanti che hanno svolto la verifica al computer hanno anche risposto a un questionario mirato a indagare percezioni, preferenze e livello di soddisfazione. Dall’analisi dei risultati sono emersi un alto gradimento per la valutazione elettronica, specie per la possibilità di avere un feedback immediato, ed alcune criticità relative alla lettura su schermo che suggeriscono di progettare attentamente i test.
